This top class renovated hotel is where Royalty and Presidents stay when they visit the city of Medellin in Columbia, and I had the honour of staying there when the (now former) President of Columbia, Mr Uribes, and the Prince and Princess of Astoria (Spain) were there.

the nearest city, Medellin, is located at a distance of 5 km in the lush

although the highlights are the 'los paisas', the happy and friendly
people. The hotel is a short drive away from the Museum of Antioquia,
which houses the sculptures of world-renowned artist Fernando Botero.

The reception staff are most helpful, and speak very good English, but most are multilingual.
Meals, especially breakfast, are most appetising. The surroundings are most impressive. Rooms are very large, extremely clean, and equipped with very modern facilities. These are reached by a system of lifts, or escalators, which are large and clean.
